Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ghana Tourism Authority Honourable Akwasi Agyeaman yesterday April 24 launched the 10th Anniversary and 2019 edition of Miss Tourism Ghana Pageant in Accra.
Organised by Miss Tourism Ghana and Diaspora African Forum. Honestly. Akwasi Agyeaman said to be the 10years running tourism beauty contest in Ghana, this year’s imprint is to select beauty queens who best fit the agenda of Miss Tourism Ghana Foundation.
The Chief executive officer commended Madam Delphine Brew Hammond and her team for putting up an initiative through which lives of deprived people in the society are being transformed.
He applauded Madam Delphine Brew Hammond for putting up a resilient spirit and pushing through with this year’s pageant amidst the trying times
’Miss Tourism Ghana is our baby. We have engaged Mrs Hammond Brew and the Ministry is ready and willing to partner and support this brand. We appreciate the roles they’re playing to enhance tourism. This is an authentic Ghanaian event we all need to support. It is true that over the years the pageant has gone through its own transformation and challenges but I commend Mrs Hammond for her courage and tenacity in making sure that this brand exists”. He stated.
Miss Tourism Ghana C.E.O, Delphine Brew Hammond at the press launch reiterated, participants are expected to use the medium to empower the vulnerable and not for their own selfish interest
She added, the essence of the pageantry is to promote the culture and values of our beloved country Ghana. Which she encouraged everyone present to wear Ghana, Visit Ghana and Eat Ghana.
