Get Familiar With German based Ghanaian musician Goon Maan

Goon Maan, the DanceHall Afrobeat General, “Goon Nation“.Asante Kwabena, popularly known by his stage name, Goon Maan, is an Afrobeatz/dancehall artist.

He was born on the 1st of January, 1989 in Kumasi, Ghana and later relocated to Germany at the age of 14.

Goon’s musical talent, not long to be hidden, showed itself at the age of 15 when he started out as a Rapper.

Keen on developing himself as a Dancehall performer, he followed the Jamaican music industry and studied Jamaican Patois – a language associated with many Jamaican singing gurus. Over the years, Goon Maan has made a name for himself in the German music world, where he has performed his songs at several events and functions.

He has also performed alongside some big names in the industry, some highlights being Consum Düsseldorf in 2007, where he performed his first-ever song, ‘Bad Gyal’, at the Beenie Man Show. Goon performed this song again at the Kcee and Bracket show in Essen, Germany.

In 2015, he sang at Shatta Wale’s German tour in Hamburg.

Goon gets his inspiration from such artists as Vybes Kartel, Beenie Man, Sizzla Kolongi, Elephant Man, Ninja Man, and Bounty Killa, Samini, just to name a few.
