6 KNUST students allegedly gang-rape Level 100 female student
Six Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) students are being held by police for allegedly gang-raping a first-year student at the Institute.
Patrick Ofosu, a 19-year-old Business Administration student who orchestrated the crime, is said to be the victim’s boyfriend.
According to police investigations, the victim’s boyfriend (name withheld) sent her a text message proposing sex with him and other male partners, which she declined.
He then invited her to his hostel after convincing her that he had cancelled the sex party and was now only interested in having sex with her as a couple.
While they were at it, the five other suspects who had set up an ambush to carry out their original plan burst into the room and sexually assaulted the female student.
They each had their turn with her while the boyfriend stood and watched.
This comes just days after another female student at the same tertiary institution was allegedly raped by a police officer and a level 400 student.
The two suspects allegedly lured the victim into an off-campus hostel at Bomso, where they allegedly pounced on her, raped her in turns, and videotaped the entire ordeal, according to 3news.com.
According to reports, the incident occurred on July 20, and one of the two suspects has been identified as Frank Adu Poku.
