This triumph represents a redemption story for Black Sherif, who had previously been nominated in the same category at the previous BET Awards but narrowly missed the honor, losing to Benjamin EPPS from Gabon. Black Sherif’s victory solidifies his place in history as the second Ghanaian artist to secure the Best International Flow Award, following in the footsteps of the renowned rapper Sarkodie, who claimed this accolade during its inaugural year in 2019.
