Anikulapo Bimbo Ademoye: Actress Responds To Critics Over Her Controversial Role

Bimbo Ademoye, a Nollywood actress, has responded to criticism following her contentious performance in Kunle Afolayan’s latest film, ‘Anikulapo.’

The film narrates the story of Saro (Kunle Remi), a traveling clothes weaver who was beaten to death for having an affair with Alaafin’s younger wife, Arolake (Bimbo Ademoye)

A supernatural bird resurrects him, leaving behind a gourd with the ability to resuscitate the dead. Bimbo was praised for her outstanding performance in the film, although some criticized her for allowing herself to become a victim rather than using the magical power she bestowed on Remi, who later betrayed her.

In response to the accusations, Bimbo stated in an Instagram post that she is aware of some of the problems and reactions her role has sparked online. She also asked her supporters who they thought was the victim between Saro and Arolake.

She wrote: “Guys , quick question . Who is the victim SARO or AROLAKE? Because I’m seeing some tweets. Saying fear women . Fear women howwwwww. So Over to you guys. If you feel Arolake is the bad guy pls comment “fear women “ If you think it is saro . Pls comment men are scum.”
