Beach FM Organises Soiree For Mothers As Part Of Mother’s Day Celebration

As Ghana joins the rest of the world to celebrate this year’s Mother’s Day, Beach FM organised a dinner to honour and appreciate career women in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis. The mothers were drawn from different job backgrounds.

The celebration was on the theme; ‘Celebrating career women in the Metropolis’. As part of the celebration, the women were treated with good music, and food as it offers a platform for them to fraternize and learn from each other.

The two days event presented mothers with an opportunity to share their journey of motherhood to inspire other younger ones. The events were on May 13th & 14th and at Raybow international hotel and Alliance Hotel by Eagles respectively.

Madam Shirley Braimah, Materials Officer at Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, Takoradi appreciated the challenges which come with motherhood coupled with being a career woman and  encouraged women to prove themselves as game changers when given the chance. ” I always want to hammer that as we are crying for fairness, we should know that it’s not only about equality but when we get the equity we should make sure to prove ourselves beyond a reasonable doubt. We should not use our motherhood as an excuse but anytime we get the platforms we should prove ourselves that we are women and we have the ability to do it. It’s only up to us to show that we are up to the task, and I believe the world is ready for us, ” She stated.
