Bhim Bwoy Narrates Ordeal After Amputation, As Stonebwoy’s Livingstone Foundation Steps In With Financial Support

Samiru Laryea, affectionately known as “Bhim Bwoy” in the Bhim Nation fanbase, recently experienced a life-changing event after losing his hand in a motorbike accident. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, October 3, 2024, left him devastated but not without hope, as he has received immense support from the Livingstone Foundation, led by Ghanaian reggae-dancehall icon Stonebwoy and his wife, Dr. Louisa Satekla.

In an emotional visit on October 8, 2024, Dr. Louisa Satekla visited Bhim Bwoy at the Surgical and Plastic Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, where he is currently recovering. Upon hearing the unfortunate news, Dr. Louisa personally extended her condolences and support to the fan who has been a longtime member of the Bhim Nation.

“He’s a fan who had an accident while going about his day, which tragically led to the amputation. We just wanted to support him because he is a big fan,” Dr. Louisa explained in an interview with Joy FM’s Kwame Dadzie.

The compassionate gesture included a financial donation to cover Samiru’s medical expenses, as well as essential items such as bottled water, drinks, and toiletries to ease his stay in the hospital. Dr. Louisa further assured that the Livingstone Foundation would be in constant communication with him throughout his recovery journey.

Although Stonebwoy was not present at the hospital, he made a personal call to Bhim Bwoy, offering words of encouragement and promising to visit him soon. Through his foundation, Stonebwoy has long been known for providing support to underprivileged communities and fans, and this latest act of kindness exemplifies his commitment to making a difference.

According to reports, Bhim Bwoy, who works as a loctician, was involved in the accident after stopping his motorbike at Korle Gorno to relieve himself. Unfortunately, another motorbike collided with him, resulting in the severe injuries that led to his hand amputation.
