Christina Ann McNichol is a former American actress, comedian, and singer. Kristy is well known for her role as Angel in the film “Little Darling”, Polly in the film ” Only When I Laugh” and as Barbara Weston in the Tv sitcom “Empty Nest”.
Kristy McNichol was born on September 12, 1962, in Los Angeles, California, USA. Her parents were James McNichol and Carolyn McNichol Lucas. She has three other siblings called, Jimmy McNichol, Jennifer Lucas, and Thomas McNichol. Her father was a carpenter and her mother also did odd jobs to support her family, including jobs as a secretary, cosmetics salesperson, and movie extra.

Career
Kristy McNichol’s first appeared in a commercial with her brother Jimmy and later appeared on her own in a guest appearance, such other series as “Starsky and Hutch” with the help of a family friend called Desi Arnaz.
Kristy’s first stint as a series regular came in the role of Patricia Apple in the short-lived television series titled “Apple’s Way” in 1974.
McNichol also appeared in a tv special titled “The Carpenter” in 1977 at Christmas, where she performed several musical numbers. Kristy made her foray into music with her brother Jimmy in 1978, recording the album titled ” Kristy and Jimmy McNichol” for RCA Records.
She was one of the biggest teen stars in her era, appearing on talk shows such as The Mike Douglas Show and Dinah! And also appeared several times on “Battle of the Network Stars” and other celebrity-based sports shows.
