In 2006, Marshall was drafted #119 by the Denver Broncos for the NFL. He played for Broncos till 2009 but moved to play for Miami Dolphins from 2010 to 2011. He again moved to Chicago Bears where he played from 2012 to 2014.

During all these years he was selected to be the NFL pro bowl and also was the Pro Bowl MVP in 2011 and a First-team All-Pro in 2012. He holds the record for most receptions in a game in NFL history with 21 and is a member of the 10,000 Receiving Yards Club.
