Chelsea Signs Joao Felix From Atletico Madrid

Chelsea FC has finalized the signing of Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix. Chelsea‘s official Twitter feed announced the news on Wednesday with the hashtag #FeelingFelix.

The Blues signed the Portuguese forward on loan and will keep him for the rest of the season. The 23-year-old played for Benfica in his home country before going to Madrid in 2029.

Chelsea is presently tenth in the league table, led by Graham Potter. Joao Felix will wear the number 11 jersey for Chelsea after joining on a six-month loan from Atletico Madrid.

At the La Liga club, the Portugal international wore the same number. Felix, who had a falling out with Atletico Madrid, will cost the Blues £9 million on loan.

There is no option to buy included in the loan deal and Felix has also signed a one-year extension with Madrid.

This means he will likely return to Spain when his spell at Stamford Bridge ends. The forward has registered four goals and three assists from his 14 La Liga appearances.
