Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed the Golden Boot in the Saudi Pro League for the second season in a row after finishing the 2023/24 campaign with 35 league goals.
The Al Nassr superstar added to his tally in their final game of the season — a 3-2 defeat to Al Fateh — to seal his place at the top of the scoring charts once again. Despite the loss, the 40-year-old’s consistent form in front of goal was a bright spot in Al Nassr’s season.
Ronaldo’s total of 35 league goals saw him finish two goals ahead of Al Ahli’s Ivan Toney, who had an impressive debut season with 33 goals. Former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema also had a strong season, scoring 21 goals for title-winning Al-Ittihad. Al Shabab’s Abderrazak Hamdallah matched Benzema’s tally with 21 goals as well.
Across all competitions, Ronaldo scored 43 goals this season, further underlining his status as one of the game’s greatest finishers.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner continues to defy age and expectations, leading the line for Al Nassr and setting new benchmarks in Saudi Arabian football.
As anticipation builds for the next season, fans will be eager to see if Ronaldo can make it a hat-trick of Golden Boot wins.
