Investigators have identified a New Jersey man who died after being catapulted through a windshield on I-380 on Wednesday.

The Pennsylvania State Police were called to a collision on Interstate 380 at milepost 15.3 in Clifton Township around 10:50 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to witnesses at the scene, an automobile was traveling south in the left lane at a high speed, passing cars and swerving in and out of traffic.

Dajaun Sutton Obituary

A fatal crash occurred during the 19-mile PSP chase. According to reports, the driver attempted to switch lanes to avoid colliding with the vehicle in front of him, but lost control, crossed both lanes, and collided head-on with a guide rail.

According to PSP, the vehicle then allegedly crashed through a guide rail while being driven down an embankment.

After being thrown through the glass, the driver, Dajaun Sutton, 23, of Irvington, New Jersey, allegedly suffered severe head injuries.

Sutton was stopped by witnesses who performed CPR on him, but he died immediately from his injuries, according to the police.
