Destiny Etiko may be one of the most sought-after actors in Nigeria. This, however, has not led her down the path of arrogance. The well-known actress is humble and moved by the plight of those who are less fortunate.
In fact, Uche Elendu praised her colleague as a “strong achiever” in the comments section of a recent post by the actress. Etiko was born in Udi, a village in Enugu state, a southeastern geographical area of Nigeria populated primarily by the Igbo people.
Below is what Nollywood Actress, Uche Elendu wrote;
“My Strong achiever.. love u plenty”.
Who is Destiny Etiko?
Destiny Etiko was born in Udi, a village in Enugu state, a southeastern geographical area of Nigeria populated primarily by the Igbo people. Etiko attended primary and secondary school in Enugu State, where she earned her First School Leaving Certificate as well as the West African Senior School Certificate. Etiko relocated to Anambra state in order to pursue a university degree and then applied to study Theater Arts at Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka.
Etiko was accepted and admitted, and she eventually earned a degree in Theater Arts. Etiko stated in an interview with Vanguard, a Nigerian newspaper, that after registering with the Actors Guild of Nigeria, she entered the Nigerian film industry, also known as Nollywood, in 2011 and described her experience as difficult because she had to balance her acting career with her school requirements because she was still a student at the time.
Etiko rose to prominence after appearing in the film Idemili, which was produced by Ernest Obi in 2012 but was not released until 2014. Her performance in the film earned her a nomination for the City People Entertainment Awards. Etiko had appeared in other films before her role in Idemili, though she did not receive prominent roles in them.
