Who Is Edward Akuffo-Addo Jnr
Edward Akufo-Addo Jnr is a businessman and the managing director of Amaado Cold Stores Limited. He is also the biological brother to President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo. Mr. Edward Jnr is also popularly known as Bompty.
He is the son to the Late Edward Akuffo-Addo. His father was born on 26th June, 1906 in Akropong – Akuapim. Edward Akufo-Addo Jnr’s grandparents are William Martin Addo-Danquah and Adeline Yeboakwa Akuffo-Addo.
Who Are Edward Jnr’s Siblings?
Edward has three siblings, two sisters by name Maame Akuffo–Addo and Golda Akuffo-Addo. A brother who also goes by the name Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo.
The Late Maame Akufo-Addo is the first born, followed by Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo, Edward Akuffo-Addo Jnr and the last born Golda Akuffo-Addo. The siblings looks so much alike.
Unfortunately, Maama Akufo-Addo is no more, making them three siblings now. His brother, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo is the current president of the Republic of Ghana.
Mr. Edward Jnr’s brother was also once the Attorney General from 2001 to 2003. Moreover, he served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs under the Kufuor’s administration form 2003 to 2007.
His brother, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo is also currently serving his second term as the President of Ghana and also the Chairman of the Economic Community of West Africa States (ECOWAS).
Much is known and said about their younger sister Golda Akuffo-Addo who is also called Susanna Akuffo-Addo.
Edward’s Parents
His mother is Nana Adeline Yeboakua Ofori-Atta and father Edward Akuffo-Addo. Edward Jnr’s late father was a member of the United Gold Coast Convention’s (UGCC) “Big Six” leaders and also one of Ghana’s founding fathers who fought for the countries independence.
Moreover, he was also a politician and a lawyer, and also became the Chief Justice. He later became the president of the republic of Ghana.
