Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and X, has reportedly expressed interest in purchasing Premier League club Liverpool. During an interview with Times Radio, Musk’s father, Errol Musk, confirmed his son’s interest, though he emphasized it doesn’t guarantee a purchase.
“Yes, he would like to, obviously. Anybody would want to – so would I!” Errol said, adding that Musk’s connection to Liverpool stems from family ties. Musk’s grandmother was born in Liverpool, and the family maintained links to the city, even knowing members of The Beatles.
Musk has previously spoken about his grandmother, who grew up in Liverpool during the Great Depression and worked as a house cleaner to support her family. “She was strict but kind, and I could always count on her,” Musk shared on X, further highlighting the deep respect he has for his roots.
While the tech mogul’s interest in Liverpool has drawn attention, it remains to be seen if he will pursue ownership of the iconic football club.
