Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has praised teenager Rico Lewis as an astute player. Guardiola also stated that Lewis could play in a variety of positions, with the hope that the 18-year-old will stay at Etihad for a long time.
The Spaniard made the remarks during his pre-match press conference before Manchester City’s Premier League encounter against Chelsea on Thursday night.
Guardiola said: “He is such an intelligent player and can play in different positions.
“We are delighted the Academy has produced another top player, and we hope he can stay for a long time.”
