Al-Nassr striker Cristiano Ronaldo was greeted with Lionel Messi chants from Al-Ittihad fans during their Saudi Super Cup game on Thursday.
Ronaldo received an unexpected reaction from the home crowd as he arrived at the King Fahd International Stadium for the match.
The 37-year-old, who has been treated like royalty since moving to the Middle East for a large sum of money, was greeted by chants for his eternal rival Messi.
Ronaldo faced Messi in a friendly last weekend and is now settling into domestic action with his new club.
Al-evening Nassr’s took a turn for the worse when they were defeated 3-1 by Al-Ittihad. Al-Nassr got a consolation goal from Talisca, with Ronaldo yet to score his first goal for the club.
