Yolanda Gail Devers is a retired American track and field athlete. She was a two-time Olympic champion in the 100m for the United States, and her victory in 1996 made her only the second woman (after Wyomia Tyus) to successfully defend an Olympic 100m title.
In 1996, she won her third Olympic gold medal, this time in the 4 100 m relay. She is also a three-time World champion in the 100m hurdles and the 1993 World champion in the 100m. She was elected to the National Track and Field Hall of Fame in 2011.
In 2011, she was inducted into the National Track and Field Hall of Fame. She was inducted into the United States Olympic Hall of Fame the following year. Ron Roberts was Gail Devers’s husband.
