George Magoha Biography
George Albert Omore Magoha was a Kenyan academic administrator, consulting surgeon, and technocrat. He was born in the year 1952.
He was a transformational leader, a brilliant scholar, a passionate public servant, and a well-known physician. He was a surgical professor at Maseno University School of Medicine in Kisumu County, western Kenya.
He was previously Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Education. He was the chairman of the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) from 2016 to 2019.
From 2005 to 2015, he was the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nairobi. He also worked as a consultant urologist at Kenyatta National Hospital, a university teaching hospital.
