Gerald Riviera, originally known as Geraldo Rivera, was born on July 4, 1943, at New York City’s Beth Israel Medical Center. Geraldo is a journalist, lawyer, author, political analyst, and former television host from the United States. Geraldo attended West Babylon High School for his primary studies.

Geraldo studied at the State University of New York Maritime College from 1961 to 1963 before transferring to the University of Arizona, where he graduated with a BS in Business Administration in 1965. Before enrolling in the Brooklyn Law School in 1966, Geraldo worked a variety of menial jobs, including apparel salesperson and short-order cook.
