The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has issued a weather warning for today, forecasting thunderstorms and localized rainfall across several regions in Ghana. The update, released in its latest 24-hour weather outlook, highlights the need for public caution—especially during the afternoon and evening hours.

Early morning weather conditions across the country included mist and fog patches, particularly along the coastal, forest, and mountainous zones. These conditions have resulted in a generally cloudy and overcast start to the day.

Thunderstorms Forecasted for Afternoon and Evening

While some areas will experience intermittent sunshine, GMet has warned that thunderstorms—with or without rainfall—are likely to develop over the coastal, middle, transition, and northern sectors later this afternoon and evening.
