Ghanaian musical artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla popularly known as Stonebwoy has questioned the criteria for which his name was left out in an article published intended to outline top Ghanaian musicians who engineered the hiplife genre.
Few hours ago, Ghanaian Dancehall and Afrobeat musician, Stonebwoy has questioned the intentions and criteria through which an article which was written to shed light on various musical artiste in Ghana who are playing very significant role in invention and building the Hiplife genre to the world by an online journalist named Nana Kojo Mula on August 20, 2024 on the Grammy.com.
According to Stonebwoy, he has been a key figure in the promotion of the the Hiplife genre as he has composed several great music tune utilising the Hiplife sounds. He further released a Certificate of Grammy Recognition which indicated his immense exploits to the promotion of Hiplife genre to the world.
“Who ever wrote this article is interestingly missing the name Stonebwoy. Recording Academy do due diligence before you publish half dozed articles aiming to capture the true image of the State of Ghanaian Sound,” He said.
However, this new development has caused divergent opinions on social media. Many thoughts in the public space have all gone absurd as they claim that, Stonebwoy in recent times have tolled the route of seeking for acknowledgement rather than doing his work as a musician.
