Rudi Garcia, the manager of Al Nassr, joked that he wanted to sign Paris Saint-Germain star Lionel Messi.
Garcia made the remark in response to Al-latest Nassr’s signing, Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in a $200 million deal on Friday, following his unexpected departure from Manchester United.
The Portugal captain will be unveiled soon at a massive gathering planned by Al-Nassr supporters to greet their biggest-ever signing.
Garcia, on the other hand, has joked that he intended to bring Argentina’s World Cup-winning captain Messi before Ronaldo.
Garcoa told the press before of Ronaldo’s unveiling ceremony at Mrsool Park: “First, I wanted to bring Messi from Doha.”
