Who is Sean Payton?

Sean Payton is an American football coach who has served as the head coach of the New Orleans Saints since 2006. Sean Payton was born in San Mateo, California on February 2, 1962. He played football at Napa Valley College before transferring to Eastern Washington University. He graduated with a degree in communications in 1986.
In 1987, Sean Payton was hired by the Philadelphia Eagles as a player personnel assistant. In 1988 he became their assistant special teams’ coach and then their special teams’ coordinator from 1990-1992.
In 1993, he was hired by the Dallas Cowboys and became their special teams’ coordinator and assistant secondary coach until 1997 when he was promoted to defensive coordinator for two years.
In 2000, Sean Payton became the quarterbacks’ coach for the Miami Dolphins and helped them win two Super Bowls.
