Jami Beth Gertz was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 28, 1985. The future Hollywood star grew up in Covert Road in Glenview, Illinois. Gertz took involved in a number of school plays as a child.
She decided to be an actor when she was in fifth grade, when she played Dorothy in her class’s performance of The Wizard of Oz. Maine East High School was where Jami Gertz finished her high school studies. She attended New York University for her academic degree and majored in Drama.
Jami Gertz began her career in Hollywood as a child performer on TV sitcoms including Diff’rent Strokes and The Facts of Life.
