He attended the University of Michigan, where he majored in atmospheric sciences and broadcast journalism. Once graduated, Reiner started off his career at CBS News and then moved to the Weather Channel in 1994. He was instrumental in developing the WSI Weather System that was used by The Weather Channel from 1996 to 2011 for computer graphics forecasting and data analysis.
After more than two decades of working there, Jeremy Reiner left The Weather Channel in 2015 after being offered a job at NBCUniversal as vice president of integrated technology.
