Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker married on Sunday, and some on social media are now criticizing the former KUWTK star for including Catholic iconography in the ceremony.
The couple exchanged vows in Italy, surrounded by family and friends, and Kourtney wore a short lace Dolce & Gabanna gown with a flowing white cathedral veil.
The veil in question was embroidered with the image of the Virgin Mary, her hands clasped in prayer, and several on Twitter chastised the Kardashians star for the action.
Kourtney, 43, and Travis, 46, were married for the third time, having previously exchanged vows in Las Vegas and at a courtroom in Santa Monica.
“Did you guys know that Kourtney isn’t even catholic and she’s using it as an aesthetic for her wedding?” one person wrote.
“But why is the Virgin Mary on EVERYTHING Kourtney Kdash is wearing?? Is there a symbolic thing i am missing since it’s on her wedding attire?? I also find it really weird,” someone else added.
