Laurie Fonhoue has been named the 2022 African Most Beautiful Woman in the United States. The much-anticipated African Most Beautiful USA pageant took place last Saturday in New York City, USA. The event took place on the luxurious Cornucopia Majesty Yacht, and it featured a beautiful display of rich African culture among contestants as well as exciting performances from top artists.
Musicians Fameye, Akwaboah, Taylor Jaye, Jay Hover, and others took the stage to entertain the audience with back-to-back hit songs, while DJ RBNice spun records throughout the night as the contestants competed for the ultimate crown.
This year’s African Most Beautiful USA pageant featured contestants from Ghana, Kenya, Gambia, and Cameroon, among others, competing for the ultimate crown, car, and cash.
The ladies arrived confidently to demonstrate their various values through traditional attire, cultural displays, and talent showcases in order to persuade the night’s judges, who included celebrated media personality Gifty Anti, 2018 Miss USA Adromeda Peters, Dr. Eric Pope Achaah, and Diane Lee Benson.
Cameroon’s Laurie Fonhoue won the ultimate African Most Beautiful USA crown after a fiercely competitive yet entertaining night, with Gambia’s Hawa Ceesay and Ghana’s Angel Kissiedu finishing second and third, respectively.
The African Most Beautiful USA pageant, an annual event aimed at promoting the rich African culture in the diaspora, concluded at 2 a.m. with an after-party session on the plush Cornucopia Majesty Yacht’s Sun Deck.
