According to information supplied to Dispatch by her family on Friday morning, Lulu Haarmans, a former anchor of Umhlobo Wenene FM, died promptly after being admitted to a Makhanda hospital on Thursday night.
Vusumzi Haarmans, the brother of award-winning radio broadcaster Lulu Haarmans, said that his sister was ill. Haarmans, 41, was the host of the mid-morning program Khanya Gqiyazana.
“We took her to the hospital at around 14h30 but a few hours later she died. We are shattered and still coming to terms with this news. “It’s not easy,” Vusumzi said.
