Man United vs Man City: They’re very dangerous – Danny Murphy predicts EPL clash
Danny Murphy, a former Liverpool midfielder, believes Manchester United have no chance of defeating Manchester City when the two clubs meet in a Premier League rivalry on January 14 at Old Trafford.
Man United had already defeated 6-3 to Man City at Etihad Stadium earlier this season. Murphy, who believes Man United is dangerous, believes Pep Guardiola’s team is superior to the Red Devils.
“[Manchester United are] not going to beat Man City. Let’s get that straight. They have got no chance,” Murphy told talkSPORT.
“They [Manchester United] are dangerous. He [Erik ten Hag] has got rid of the Cristiano Ronaldo situation and there is a lot to be positive about [his team].
“But, ultimately, if you are comparing them to Man City, and even Arsenal at the moment, there are not many Man Utd players getting anywhere near the Man City side.”
He added, “Let’s be honest. Man City are the yardstick. The [6-3] game earlier this season showed the problems Man Utd will have when they play top opposition.”
