Facebook owner, Mark Zuckerberg, the founder and owner is believed to have lost about $7 billion yesterday, 4th October 2021 after his social platform that is Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger went down globally.
Up till now, the cause of the crash hasn’t been revealed yet by Facebook, but many sources have alleged the break down to Domain Name System. The error message on the webpage of Facebook Inc suggested a problem with Domain Name System (DNS).
What is a Domain Name System ?
Domain Name System which in short is mostly seen as DNS allows web addresses to take users to their destinations.
Due to the Domain Name System problem, Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg has made a loss of about 5% of his wealth pushing him down on the list of billionaires in the world. This has made Bill Gates top the world billionaires list.
However today he took to the platform as apologized to all users saying;
“Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger are coming back online now. Sorry for the disruption today.
I know how much you rely on our services to stay connected with the people you care about.”
