Mohammed Kudus scored for Ajax in their 4-1 win over Excelsior in round 19 of the 2022/23 Eredivisie season on Sunday.
After scoring against Volendam in midweek, Ghana’s forward has now scored in three consecutive games following the 2022 World Cup.
After the hosts were looking for an equalizer, the 22-year-old gave the Dutch giants a two-goal cushion. It was his seventh league goal in 18 games for Ajax Amsterdam.
Dusan Tadic gave Ajax the lead after 15 minutes, but Reedouan El Yaakoubi equalized for the hosts at the Stadion Woudestein. Davy Klaassen gave Ajax the lead again just before the halftime break, making it 2-1.
Mohammed Kudus, who would not be left out of the action, scored a brilliant long-range goal to put Ajax up 3-1.
Devyne Rebsch’s spectacular strike in the 83rd minute sealed the game for Ajax Amsterdam.
The team has won its first game in four after drawing the previous three.
