Gospel music fans have something new and exciting to enjoy as Rev. Nii Okai brings out the eagerly waited remix of his popular hit “Foundations.” This remix is produced with the help of Edem Evangelist, an urban gospel artist, and the High School Praise Mass Choir, which is set to take the gospel music industry by storm.
The remix is a further elevation of the original amapiano gospel song by way of a high-energy live recording captured on September 27, 2025, at Tema International School.
“Foundations” finds its message right from Acts 2:42 to 47, where the early church dedicated themselves to the learning of the apostles, fellowshipping, and praying together. This song, therefore, is a reminder to present-day Christians to revisit the basic practices that helped establish a strong church community.
The original song was posted online in August of 2025 and gained popularity amongst gospel musicians and their followers. This song appeases the younger generation by presenting the ancient truth of the bible through amapiano instrumental backgrounds.

Meet the Artists Behind the Foundation Remix by Nii Okai
Rev. Nii Okai is also very prominent in the Ghanaian gospel music scene, having five music albums and several years of ministry experience. Being the senior pastor of International House of Virtue, Tema, he appreciates that worship is more about heart relationship and not performance. His deep and spirit-anointed voice is the anchor in the “Foundations” remix.
Edem Evangelist is the face of the new generation of gospel artists in Ghana. Known by his real name, Edem Worlali Tedeku, the artist has had success mixing his gospel music with afrobeat, highlife, and modern tones. He was the first gospel artist certified on the Audiomack playlist, demonstrating his rise in popularity. Some of his most popular pieces include “Another One,” “Mindaboshi,” “All for God,” and “Won’t Keep it Down.”
The High School Praise Mass Choir is made up of gifted students from the best international schools in Ghana, such as Tema International School, Akosombo International School, Life International College, Ghana Christian International High School, and Vine Christian High School. These young voices bring a breath of freshness to the remixed track.
This remix, which was created by Dave Da MusicBox together with assistance from Sammee, has the right mix of musical components and voices.
