Former MUSIGA President Obour Is Now The Managing Director Of Ghana Post Company Limited As He Was Appointed By The President Of Ghana

Popular Ghanaian musician Bice Osei Kuffour widely known as Obour has been appointed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo as the Managing Director of Ghana Post Company Limited. The former President of the Music Union of Ghana has acquired a new position which was given to him by Nana Addo, the president of Ghana.

Bice Osei Kuffour is a product of Mfantsipim School and holds a degree in political science and information studies from the University of Ghana, Legon. He was also trained on global leadership from Aspen Institute in Colorado, USA. Bice Osei Kuffour was the President of the Musician Union of Ghana from October 2011 to August 2011, that is 8 years. He was formerly a Board member of the National Folklore Board from 2017 to 2021. He was also an Advisory Board member of the School of Performing Arts(SPA).

During his time as the president of MUSIGA, he successfully created initiatives like MUSIGA Academy with NAFTI, Ageing Musicians Welfare Funds( AMWEF), Ajumapa Loans, and Musiga Grand ball which received patronage from all sitting President’s of Ghana during the period.

After the period as MUSIGA president, Bice Osei Kuffour announced his membership of the New Patriotic Party and contested the parliamentary primaries election for Asante Akyem South constituency in the Ashanti Region of the New Patriotic Party ahead of the 2020 general elections. The former MUSIGA President lost to the incumbent Member of Parliament, Mr. Kwaku Boateng.

Mr. Bice Osei Kuffour joins the Ghana Post at a time it was improving its services in areas across the country and also expanding its Posts network. The former President of the Music Union of Ghana( MUSIGA) will be working on promoting all postal products to raise awareness of their availability, improving mail security, expanding existing auxiliary services like financial services to complement traditional areas.
