According to court documents that E! News was able to obtain, Courtney entered a not guilty plea to one count of second-degree murder with a dangerous weapon.
According to the same records, Courtney will be arraigned in court on August 31, 2022, four days after her initial court appearance, when her request for a release was rejected.
Christian’s death on April 3 was allegedly caused by a fatal stabbing committed by Courtney, age 26. According to the Miami-Dade Police Department, 27-year-old Obumseli was found with “an apparent knife wound” when police officers responded at a domestic violence scene at around 5 p.m. local time.
He died from his injuries at Jackson Memorial Hospital after being brought there. Lauphoehoe, Hawaii police detained Courtney Clenney in connection with the death of Christian. There is “clear evidence,” the model’s attorney Frank Andrew Prieto said earlier this month to E! News, that Clenney was defending herself on the night of the attack.
