Benoit Badiashile, Chelsea’s newest acquisition, has said that his desire to play in the best league in the world prompted his transfer to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues announced the signing of the Monaco defender for €38 million on Thursday.
Todd Boehly, Chelsea’s Chairman, confirmed the arrival of Badiashile, the latest highly-rated defender to come off France’s assembly line.
When he returns to full condition, he will instantly challenge for a first-team spot and might create a long-term partnership with his Fofana.
“I’m really happy to be here at Chelsea,” the 21-year-old said for the first time as a Chelsea player to the club’s official website.
“I’m so excited to start playing for this club. I can’t wait to see the fans and start playing in the best league in the world.”
