The Rivers State Resident Doctors have finally called off its seven-day strike, requesting all doctors in Rivers State University Teaching Hospital to return to work.

President of the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, Doctor George Ella,said;

“There has been a week-long engagement with the Rivers State Government”, adding that the “legislative processes to the domestication of the medical residency training act has started among others demands”.

The ARD President assured River State’s inhabitants of good health service delivery, emphasizing that the resumption “has immediate effect.”
