Ronaldo Names Zidane Alongside Himself And Messi In The GOAT Debate

Who is known as the greatest of all time? When asked about the greatest players he has ever seen, Ronaldo mentioned Zinedine Zidane as well as seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi.

In an explosive interview with Piers Morgan this week, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner slammed both Manchester United’s owners, the Glazers, and manager Erik ten Hag.

Ronaldo slammed former Manchester United teammates Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville while admitting he felt “betrayed” by the club. The Portugal star’s comments about his friendship with longtime foe Messi sparked controversy as well.

Along with himself and Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo has named the player he believes to be the greatest of all time.

When Morgan asked Ronaldo about the best player he’d ever seen, excluding himself, he said, “Probably [Messi], yes.”

Zidane is without a doubt a modern-era great. Ronaldo and the former France international are close friends because, while playing for Real Madrid, he led the forward to three consecutive Champions League victories.

“Him [and] Zidane probably – that I have played and fought with.”
