Sadio Mané won the CAF Men’s Player of the Year award, which was presented to many African footballers on the night. This comes after a fantastic football year in which he helped Senegal win their first-ever African Cup of Nations trophy in Cameroon.
In his speech, he thanked his club and national team teammates, as well as his coach and others. This comes just a few weeks after he signed with Bayern Munich, a German football club.
Later this year, he will look forward to leading the Senegal national team to glory as they attempt to qualify for the World Cup semi-finals for the first time.
Apart from Senegal, four other African countries have qualified for the World Cup, which will be held in Qatar. These countries are Ghana, Morocco, Tunisia, and Cameroon.
