Sean Patrick Hannity was born on December 30, 1961, in New York City. He was born to Lillian and Hugh Hannity, and was raised in Franklin Square, a Long Island suburb of New York. Hugh was a World War II soldier and a family-court officer, while Lillian worked as a stenographer and a prison officer at a county jail.
Hannity attended Sacred Heart Seminary in Hempsttead, New York and St. Pius X Preparatory Seminar in Uniondale, New York. Also, he studied at both New York University and Adelphi University, but did not graduate from either.

Sean established a house-painting business in 1982 and worked as a building contractor in Santa Barbara, California, a few years later. He also hosted his first talk radio show in 1989 at the volunteer college station at UC Santa Barbara, KCDB-FM.
He was taken off air after an episode in which he voiced anti-LGBT sentiments and later attacked a gay fellow KCSB host. Moreover moved to WABC in New York in January 1997, a few months after his Fox television show debuted, when his show aired in the late-night hours before moving to the lucrative afternoon “drive time” slot.
He became a co-host of ‘Hannity & Colmes, an American political “point-counterpoint”-style television program on the Fox News Channel.
