Event Details
BHIMFEST2025, themed “Rooted. Resonant. Global,” was initially scheduled for December 26 but was moved to December 24 after consultations with the Ghana Tourism Authority and considerations for other major events during the festive season.
The event commenced at exactly 8:00 pm, a rare feat in Ghana’s entertainment industry where delays are common. Rising stars opened the show before established acts took to the stage.
Stonebwoy’s Performance
The BET Award winner hit the stage just before midnight to a rousing reception from the packed stadium. Dressed in silver attire, he thrilled fans with back-to-back performances of his hit songs.

He later changed into an all-black outfit and was joined by Incredible Zigi and the Afrozigi dance crew for another electrifying set that kept patrons on their feet.
His live band performance, vocal delivery, and stage presence reminded fans why he is regarded as one of Africa’s finest performers.
Star-Studded Lineup
The event featured performances from top Ghanaian acts including DopeNation, D Cryme, Praye, and LalixLola, who all delivered solid performances.
The surprise appearance of Nigerian superstar Mr P (formerly of P-Square fame) sent the crowd into a frenzy. The international star performed some of his classic hits to the delight of patrons.
Before the event, Mr P had praised Stonebwoy’s humility, recounting how the Ghanaian star flew to Nigeria on the same day he submitted his verse for their collaboration.

Family Moment Goes Viral
In a heartwarming moment that has since gone viral on social media, Stonebwoy’s two children – Catherine Jidula Satekla and L. Janam Joachim Satekla – joined him on stage to present him with flowers.
His wife, Dr. Louisa Ansong, was also present at the event, showing strong family support for the musician.
Organization and Security
Patrons praised the organizers for the tight security arrangements and efficient crowd management. Each ticket category had designated entry paths, with adequate security personnel stationed throughout the venue.
There were no reported incidents of congestion or security breaches, a marked improvement from previous events at the venue.
The sound system, lighting, and stage production were described as world-class by attendees.
Areas for Improvement
Despite the success, some patrons, particularly those in the VIP and VVIP sections, complained about inadequate washroom facilities.
Some attendees also felt that certain aspects of the event did not fully meet their expectations based on the promotional materials.

Partnership with Ghana Tourism Authority
The event was held in partnership with the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) as part of the ‘December in GH’ initiative.
GTA Chief Executive Officer, Maame Efua Houadjeto, said the collaboration underscores the Authority’s commitment to promoting Ghana’s creative arts and entertainment sectors as major contributors to tourism growth.
Environmental Initiative
As part of the festival’s social responsibility efforts, organizers launched the “BHIM Green Stage” initiative, which plants one tree for every ticket sold.
10-Year Journey
Stonebwoy held the first Bhimnation Ultimate Concert on May 1, 2015, at the Tema Sports Stadium. The event has since evolved into Ghana’s largest artist-driven live music festival.
Over the years, BHIMFEST has become a key attraction during Ghana’s December festivities, drawing both local and international tourists.
The event has also served as a platform for emerging talents, with Stonebwoy consistently featuring rising artists alongside established acts.
Social Media Reactions
Ghanaians on social media have been sharing videos and photos from the event, with many praising Stonebwoy for his professionalism and delivery.
BHIMFEST2025 trended on Twitter (now X) throughout the night and into Christmas Day, with fans expressing satisfaction with the show.
Industry players have also commended the organization, calling on other event organizers to take a cue from the BHIM team.
What’s Next
With the successful execution of BHIMFEST2025, Stonebwoy has set the bar high for future editions. The event has solidified its position as a must-attend concert during Ghana’s December festivities.
The “1GAD” as he is affectionately called by fans, continues to fly Ghana’s flag high both locally and internationally, with more projects expected in 2025.
