Super Cup final: Real Madrid bags a win against Atalanta

Real Madrid have smashed Atalanta to clinch the UEFA Super Cup in a convincing and fiercely competitive ninety minutes of football.

The clash between both winners of the UEFA champions league trophy and the UEFA Europa league trophy served footballing fans with a thrilling game of football in the UEFA Super Cup. Real Madrid and Atalanta both winning the European continental club trophy in the various UEFA organised competition respectively unleashed all their arsenals inorder to hold on to the prestigious cup.

However, Real Madrid stood tall at the final blast of the whistle by the referee. The took-off with both manager for the respective clubs fielding their best of first eleven players. Real Madrid manager, did not hesitate to bring on the club’s new biggest signing in the summer transfer window, Kylian Mbappe with the rest of the usual starting eleven.

Meanwhile, the manager for Atalanta was loosing some of his best players with any replacement due to the summer transfer. That not withstanding, both side displayed an exciting and superb performance in the first forty-five minutes of the game without conceding and both goalkeepers having their clean sheets kept safe.

As the second half of the game began, both clubs began on a good note as they all continued to exhibit and enroll their tactical and technical knowledge on the field of play. After fourteen minutes into the second half, a dribble on the edge of the eighteen yard box by Vinicius Jr allowed him to locate Federico Valverde which he buried into the back of the net to give Real Madrid the lead.

The game further progressed, with the relentlessness of the Real Madrid team on the field of play, several chances of goal scoring opportunities were missed. However, a sublime pass from Jude Bellingham saw Kylian Mbappe thrash the net to register his first goal for the white angles of the Spanish La-Liga in a very historic manner.

Real Madrid after securing their sixth UEFA Super Cup makes them the club with the record of most Super Cup titles in the European continent.
