Terry Hall Wife: Who is Lindy Heymann?

Terry Hall was married twice in his life, the second time to Lindy Heymann. She is a British award-winning director. Lindy studied at Central St Martins and went on to direct music videos after graduating with a BA in fine art film.

She received a British Independent Film Award (BIFA) for Best Directorial Debut for her feature film debut Showboy in 2002, and she is also known for The Laughing King (2016) and Kicks (2009).

Lindy has also directed episodes of the Netflix hit Stay Close, starring James Nesbitt and Cush Jumbo, as well as The Worst Witch, a TV series.

Lindy first met Terry when he directed the video for his 1997 single Ballad Of A Landlord. However, it is reported that they did not become a couple until years later – though the exact date is unknown. It is also unknown when they married.

Meanwhile, his first wife was childhood sweetheart Jeanette Hall. They were married for more than 20 years before divorcing in the mid-1990s.

How did Terry Hall die?

Terry sadly passed away on December 19, 2022, at the age of 63 following a “brief illness”. The Specials tweeted: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing, following a brief illness, of Terry, our beautiful friend, brother and one of the most brilliant singers, songwriters and lyricists this country has ever produced.

“Terry was a wonderful husband and father and one of the kindest, funniest, and most genuine of souls.

“His music and his performances encapsulated the very essence of life… the joy, the pain, the humour, the fight for justice, but mostly the love.
