The govt’s performance has been inept — Kwesi Pratt Jnr

Mr Kwesi Pratt Jnr has bemoan government’s inability to provide better economic conditions which improves the standard of living of the citizenry.

The renowned journalist, Mr Kwesi Pratt has chastised the ruling New Patriotic Party government being led by President Akufo-Addo for his failure to lead his government to provide adequate social amenities, reduce unemployment rate, reduce inflation rate and to improve on the standard of living of the Ghanaian citizenry.

According to Mr Kwesi Pratt Jnr, the current government has display incompetence in all facets of Ghana’s economy. He made these comments on his social media page on Thursday, 18th July 2024. Mr Pratt further claimed that, the current economic hardship being experienced in the country is set to be aggravated as result of the agreements Ghana has with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

“The current NPP government’s performance has been inept, and as we continue to face these challenges, there are more difficult times ahead due to IMF conditions,” he said.

The veteran journalist seized the platform to announces the various components of Ghana’s economy which would be hit severely by virtue of the IMF bailout the country has agreed to.

“… fuel price hikes, unemployment, high cost of living and exchange rate,” Mr Pratt said.
