There Are Only Four Superstars In Ghana – Zapp Mallet
Legendary Ghanaian sound engineer Zapp Mallet defended actor, philanthropist, and comedian Michael Blackson after he claimed that there are only four superstars in Ghana, as opposed to many in Nigeria.
In a recent interview on the popular American podcast “Drink Champions,” the well-known American comedian incited a significant uproar by affirming that Ghana could only boast of four music superstars, compared to Nigeria’s eight.
Michael Blackson identified Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Black Sheriff, and Shatta Wale as the only superstars.
On Ghanaweekend.com, Zapp Mallet stated that Michael Blackson was telling the truth.
According to the renowned sound engineer, many artists are exceeding expectations, but the media has chosen to focus solely on the four named performers.
Let us place the blame squarely on the media. This is extremely problematic because the media has made it appear that these artists are the only talented people Ghana has.
“There are many musicians who also deserve the excitement that Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, and Black Sheriff are relishing. the experienced sound engineer said, refusing to name the artists he believes are being ignored by the media.
