Tony Lee Dow was an American actor, film producer, director, and sculptor who was born on April 13, 1945, in Los Angeles, California. From 1957 to 1963, he was best known for his role as Wally Cleaver in the television sitcom Leave It to Beaver.

Dow played Wally again in a television film and on The New Leave It to Beaver from 1983 to 1989. Dow’s career began when he went on a casting call and landed the role of Wally Cleaver in Leave It to Beaver despite having almost no acting experience.
