Trump Appoints Susie Wiles as First Female Chief of Staff Ahead of White House Return

In a historic first, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has appointed his campaign manager, Susie Wiles, as his Chief of Staff. Wiles, the first woman to assume this crucial position, has been praised by Trump as his “winner campaign manager,” calling her appointment “a well-deserved honor.”

The Chief of Staff, considered one of the most influential roles in the White House, manages staff operations, schedules, and serves as the president’s liaison with government officials. With her background and strategic skills, Wiles is expected to shape Trump’s White House operations effectively. Trump remarked that she “just helped me achieve one of the greatest political victories in American history,” underscoring her pivotal role in his successful campaign.

Vice President-elect JD Vance also shared his support on X, stating, “Susie was a huge asset to President Trump on the campaign and will be a huge asset in the White House.”

Wiles’ appointment signals Trump’s intent to begin assembling a strong team ahead of his January 20 return to the White House. During his previous term, Trump cycled through four Chiefs of Staff, including retired Army General John Kelly, who eventually distanced himself and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, branding Trump a “fascist.”
