Who Walker Hayes Father? Charles Edgar Walker Hayes is a pop country singer and songwriter from the United States. He has three studio albums to his credit: Reason to Rhyme on Capitol Records Nashville in 2011, Boom and Country Stuff the Album on Monument Records in 2017 and 2022, respectively.

Hayes has had multiple singles chart on the Billboard Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts, with “Fancy Like” reaching number one on both charts between late 2021 and early 2022. Walker Hayes was born in Mobile, Alabama on December 27, 1979.

Who is Charles Hayes?

Charles Hayes, his father, was a realtor. He tragically lost his father in 2021. Hayes earned a bachelor’s degree in music with a piano emphasis from Birmingham-Southern College in 2002.

Walker and Charles didn’t have the best relationship, but as he grew older and saw parallels between their lives, Walker was able to gain a deeper understanding for Charles. Walker released the song “Briefcase” about his relationship with his father after his father died in 2021.

“I really hope the world gets to hear that song, only because I want fathers to feel an arm around them in some way,” the singer told People. “I don’t want another son to lose a dad and think, man, was he proud of me?”
