However, Houston’s career took a turn for the worst with her 1992 marriage to musician Bobby Brown and subsequent drug usage. She made a reappearance in 2009 with the film I Look to You, and she also appeared in the musical picture Sparkle.

Houston was discovered unconscious in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, submerged underwater. The medical examiner determined that her death was caused by unintentional drowning, with heart problems and cocaine usage as contributory causes. She died on 11th February, 2012 at the age of 48.

Gordon also discovered Whitney’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina face down in a bathtub at her Georgia home and put her in a medically induced coma, but she never completely recovered. Her death was ruled as a result of drug-assisted drowning.
