Who Is Whitney Houston?
Whitney was an American singer and actress who was one of the best-selling musical artists of the 1980’s and 1990’s. She was born on August 9, 1963, in Newark, New Jersey. However, she died on February 11, 2012, in Beverly Hills, California.
Similarly, her mother and cousin were also renown in American gospel, soul, and pop music. Cissy Houston was however the choir leader at their church as at that time.
As a kid, Whitney Houston began singing in church. She also appeared for fashion publications and sang backup for Chaka Khan and Lou Rawls while still in high school. Similarly, she joined with Arista Records at the age of 19. She was also nurtured for crossover pop success by Clive Davis, the company’s CEO.
At the age of 22, Whitney Houston launched her debut album, which included three No. 1 singles. Houston’s next two albums, I’m Your Baby Tonight (1990) and My Love Is Your Love (1998), as well as the soundtracks of The Bodyguard (1992) and Waiting to Exhale (1998), brought her four more No. 1s and a Grammy (1995).
However, Houston’s career took a turn for the worst with her 1992 marriage to musician Bobby Brown and subsequent drug usage. She made a reappearance in 2009 with the film I Look to You, and she also appeared in the musical picture Sparkle.

Whitney cause of death
Houston was discovered unconscious in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, submerged underwater. The medical examiner determined that her death was caused by unintentional drowning, with heart problems and cocaine usage as contributory causes. She died on 11th February, 2012 at the age of 48.
Gordon also discovered Whitney’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina face down in a bathtub at her Georgia home and put her in a medically induced coma, but she never completely recovered. Her death was ruled as a result of drug-assisted drowning.
Gordon, who Houston took in when he was 12 years old, was held responsible for Bobbi Kristina’s murder. However, he was in a civil court in 2016, though he was never punished legally. On January 1, 2020, he also died of a heroin overdose.
