American actor Geoffrey Louis Owens is best known for playing Elvin Tibideaux on The Cosby Show (1985–1992).
He is the representative Major Owens’ son in the US Congress. One of Owens’ earliest performances was in a production of Peter Pan at Arcata High School, where he portrayed the main part.
His inspiration to pursue acting later in life came from this first performance. As Elvin Tibideaux, the lover of Sondra Huxtable, Owens made his television debut in 1985’s second season of the NBC sitcom The Cosby Show.
